Josep M. Grinyo MD

University Hospital of Bellvitge, Barcelona, Spain

Dr. Grinyo is Professor of Medicine at the University of Barcelona, and is Chief of Nephrology and Director of the Renal Transplant Unit at the University Hospital of Bellvitge, Barcelona, Spain.

His main fields of research are immunosuppression, ischemia-reperfusion injury, and chronic allograft damage. Dr. Grinyo has written and published numerous scientific papers in these related areas. He has been a Member of the Editorial Review Board for the American Journal of Transplantation, Pharmacotherapy, and currently, Critical Care Nursing.

Klemens Budde MD

Charite Universitatsmedizin, Berlin, Germany

Dr. Budde is Professor of Medicine, currently teaching "Pharmacodynamics of Immunosuppression After Renal Transplantation,"and is the Head of the Clinical Transplant Program at the Charite Universitatsmedizin Berlin, Germany.

He is also a faculty member of the Department of Medicine, Nephrology. Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology, Dr. Budde sits on the Editorial Board for Current Clinical Pharmacology and Current Drug Therapy. Dr. Budde's main research interests include the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of immunosuppressants.

Lionel Rostaing
MD, PhD

Toulouse University Hospital, Toulouse, France Dr. Rostaing, a consultant in Clinical Transplantation, is the Medical Director of the Organ Transplant Department of Toulouse University Hospital. His main fields of clinical and basic research include viral infections in dialysis and in organ transplant patients; the pharmacodynamic effects of immunosuppressants; and the assessment of intracytoplasmic cytokines by means of flow cytometry and its relevance to alloreactivity in kidney transplant recipients and to biocompatibility in hemodialysis patients. He is also a member of several professional and scientific organizations.

Robert Gaston
MD

University of Alabama at Birmingham, Alabama, US Dr. Gaston is the Endowed Professor of Transplant Medicine and Medical Director of Kidney and Pancreas Transplant at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Gaston is President of the American Society of Transplantation. He is also a member of a variety of other medical organizations, including the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, the Transplantation Society, and the American Society of Nephrology.

Sundaram Hariharan MD

Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, US

Dr. Hariharan is Professor of Medicine and Chief of Nephrology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, US. Formerly, he was a Lecturer in Nephrology at Christian Medical College and Hospital in Vellore, India, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center Ohio, US.

He has served on various committees for the American Society of Transplantation and reviewed grants and abstracts for the National Kidney Foundation and American Transplant Congress.
